A Plastic pipe factory is looking for a Maintenance Lead Hand to join the Maintenance Team, The
the incumbent would be responsible for performing highly diversified duties, including planning, installation, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production and facility equipment according to safety and legislated

Responsibilities

  • Plan and layout work assignments from complex blueprints, sketches, or verbal instruction and
  • accomplish these assignments
  • Capable of inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing plant machinery, tooling, molds,
  • equipment, systems, buildings, and physical structures
  • Competently and safely use all tools and operate all machine tools such as lathes and grinders for the efficient overhaul, maintenance or set-up of Company property
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
  • Involvement in management of change, layout meetings or method improvements
  • Maintain, coordinate, and conduct preventative maintenance programs, while keeping accurate

records (including MP2 program)

  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in the daily scheduling, vacation scheduling, training of

maintenance employees, and coordination of the work in the Maintenance Department.

  • Flexibility for maintenance coverage during vacations or maintenance call-ins and perform as

back up Maintenance Manager, when required

  • Knowledge of all national, provincial, and local codes as they affect construction, maintenance
  • repair, safety, and dismantling/assembling of machinery, equipment, and structures
  • The incumbent must maintain customer, company, 5S and ISO standards, comply with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures, and assist with training/orientation of contractors

Qualifications Experience

  • Industrial 309A Electrician Certification and Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certification 433A
  • 5+ years of practical experience in a plastic-manufacturing and equipment maintenance environment
  • 2+ years of practical experience in a Setup/Process role is preferred
  • Knowledge of forklift, scissor lift, and the crane operation is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Workhour:

8 am -5 pm, Mon- Fri 44hr/week, (overtime may be required )

Pay wage :

$34 – $36 (depend on experience )
